Pumpkin Plunge Invitational


The Breakers Swim Team is excited to welcome clubs to the 2026 Pumpkin Plunge Invitational, a one-day, one-session swim meet designed to provide swimmers of all ages with a fun and competitive fall racing experience.

The Pumpkin Plunge Invitational offers swimmers an opportunity to compete in a supportive environment, gain valuable meet experience, build confidence, and race alongside athletes from clubs across the region.

Meet Information

Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026
Location: Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre
Warm-Up: 9:00 AM
Start Time: 10:00 AM
Estimated Finish: 3:00 PM

Meet Format

  • Timed finals
  • All ages
  • Maximum 4 individual events per swimmer
  • Maximum 1 relay per swimmer
  • No qualifying times
  • No time standards
  • Entries accepted on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Meet capacity is limited

Events

The Pumpkin Plunge Invitational will feature a variety of individual events, including:

  • 50m, 100m and 200m Freestyle
  • 50m and 100m Backstroke
  • 50m Butterfly
  • 50m Breaststroke
  • 200m Individual Medley
  • Girls and Boys 200m Medley Relay

Carve. Compete. Win.

We're adding a little Halloween fun to the competition.

Each participating club is invited to bring one carved pumpkin to the meet. Pumpkins will be judged on creativity, originality and team spirit.

The winning team will receive bragging rights and a special prize for bringing the most spectacular pumpkin to the pool.

Pumpkin awards will be presented before the relay events.


A Great Fall Invitational

The Pumpkin Plunge Invitational is a great opportunity for swimmers to get back into competition, race new events, and enjoy a fun team atmosphere early in the season.

We look forward to welcoming clubs and swimmers to Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre for a day of racing, team spirit and a little Halloween fun.
