Gold 1 (Ages 12–16)
Gold 1 is aimed at swimmers who are committed to serious competitive training and preparing for higher-level meets, including provincial competitions. With six practices per week, Gold 1 swimmers focus on advanced stroke refinement, efficiency, and endurance across all four strokes.
Training incorporates specialized drills, race-pace sets, starts, turns, and finishes, as well as strategies for sprint, middle-distance, and distance events. Coaches emphasize technical perfection, including underwater work, stroke rate management, and energy conservation. Swimmers also learn how to analyze their performance, track progress, and set both short-term and long-term goals.
Gold 1 promotes a culture of accountability, hard work, and teamwork. Swimmers are encouraged to support one another while pushing themselves to achieve personal bests. The group balances intense training with a positive, encouraging environment, helping young athletes develop confidence and a professional approach to competitive swimming.
